Hey everyone!! As I previously noted in the other blog, I wanted to have a specific blog for Puerto Princessa, Palawan because of all the stuff I did.
The first day was all about seeing the town. We arrived in Palawan around 9 am and got Jolibe immediately for breakfast. Our first trip was to the Crocodile farm, where we saw saltwater and freshwaster crocodile, hedgehogs, Myna (talking bird), and reptiles. We then went to bakers hill, were we got fruit smoothies and took pictures. Next, we went to Mitra’s Ranch, a place were a famous filipino senators use to live. We drove by the bay walk and went to a souvenir shop. The next stop was the plaza cuartel and a cathedral. The cathedral was one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. We then went to a famous tourest place for lunch called Haim’s Chicken for lunch. Later that might we walked around the town and went to Kinabuch were I tried crocodile for the first time.
The second day we went to the underground river. This was my favorite part of the trip. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The cellings were super high. Bats and birds where flying everywhere. Michael actualy got hit in the face with a bat. For lunch we went to Saint Pauls Buffet, which was really good. Later that day we went to the beach and went to Kalui for dinner.
The third and the last day we went island hopping. The plan was to first go to starfish island, then LuLi island, and last, to go Cowrie island. Unfortunately, it started to rain really hard going to Luli island. We didn’t end up going to Cowrie island but we still had a lot of fun. At Starfish island we went snorkeling for 4 hours. I was able to see clownfish, swordfish, and a humuhumunukunukuapua’a fish. We gave the fish bread, and they would swarm around us. After starfish, we left for Luli island were we would eat lunch. On the way there it started to storm really bad were the rain felt like hail. We got to Luli island and had to wait till the storm calmed down. At Luli after we ate, we went into the water and relaxed in the big waves created by the storm. After island hopping, we went to the mall and then went out to dinner at a pub called boss.
This trip was like a vacation on vacation. I am very fortunate to have gone to Palawan and to have these crazy memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you IWU Freeman Asia!
